Community Guidelines

These guidelines apply to everything you do on FlightPosts — profiles, pilot requests, messaging, job sites, deliverables and reviews. They sit alongside our Terms of Service; breaching them can mean removed content, paused matching, or a closed account.

1. Safety comes first, always

FlightPosts exists because licensed, insured, by-the-book drone work is worth paying for. So:

  • Pilots: never accept or perform work outside your CASA authorisations — wrong weight class, unapproved airspace, night ops you're not approved for. Declining an out-of-scope job will never count against you; taking one will end your account.
  • Businesses: never pressure a pilot to fly in conditions or locations they've assessed as unsafe or non-compliant. The pilot's call on safety and airspace is final. Asking a pilot to "just quickly get the shot" outside the rules is a guideline breach on your side, not theirs.
  • Report near-misses, incidents or unsafe requests to us. Reporting honestly will never be punished; concealing an incident will.

2. Be accurate

  • Profiles must reflect real licences, real insurance, real equipment and real experience. Misrepresenting credentials is the fastest way off the platform — it's also the one thing that endangers everyone else's livelihood here.
  • Pilot requests must honestly describe the job, the site and the risk factors (night work, people nearby, controlled airspace). Surprises on site are safety problems, not negotiating tactics.

3. Keep the work on the platform

Matching is how FlightPosts keeps pilots paid, verified and insured — and how jobs keep coming.

  • Don't use messaging, profiles or reviews to move work off-platform, share direct contact details before a match is confirmed, or solicit users for outside engagements. (The Terms of Service set out the formal non-circumvention rules; this is the community version: don't do it.)
  • Repeat business with a pilot you like is encouraged — request them by name through the platform and we'll prioritise the match.

4. Be professional and decent

  • No harassment, abuse, threats, discrimination or spam — in messages, reviews, or on job sites. Pilots on site represent the whole network; businesses hosting pilots owe them a safe, respectful workplace.
  • Respond to matches and messages promptly. Pilots: responding within [24 hours] on match offers keeps your priority status (and your guarantee eligibility). Businesses: timely deliverable review keeps pilots paid on time.
  • If a job goes wrong, raise it through the platform's dispute process, not through review-bombing or public shaming.

5. Reviews you can trust

  • Review only jobs you were actually part of, honestly, about the work.
  • No incentivised, traded or retaliatory reviews, no rating manipulation, no using reviews to renegotiate price after the fact.
  • We may remove reviews that breach these rules and will say when we've done so.

6. Content and footage standards

  • Only upload portfolio imagery and deliverables you had the right to capture and share. No footage obtained by flying unlawfully, no imagery that identifiably intrudes on people's private activities, and nothing that breaches a client's confidentiality.
  • No illegal, deceptive or infringing content anywhere on the platform.

7. How enforcement works

We aim to be proportionate: most issues get a warning and a fix. Safety breaches, credential misrepresentation and harassment skip the warning. We may remove content, pause matching, or suspend or close accounts under the Terms of Service, and we'll tell you what rule was breached. Where conduct may involve unlawful flying or serious safety risk, we may also notify relevant authorities.
