Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out conduct prohibited on FlightPosts. Breaches may lead to immediate suspension or account removal under the Terms of Service, cancellation of pending Engagements, forfeiture of promotional benefits (including guarantee eligibility), and, where conduct may be unlawful or unsafe, referral to CASA, police or other authorities.

Prohibited conduct — everyone

  • Illegal activity — using the Platform for any unlawful purpose, or requesting, offering or performing any unlawful drone operation.
  • Misrepresentation — false or misleading identity, qualifications, licences, insurance, reviews, ratings, job details or company information; impersonating another person or business.
  • Fraud — deceptive or dishonest conduct of any kind, including payment fraud, invoice manipulation, and submitting fake Pilot Requests (including requests made to harvest pilot details, probe pricing for a competitor, or manufacture guarantee eligibility).
  • Fee circumvention — taking work introduced through FlightPosts off-platform, or exchanging contact details before a confirmed match, to avoid Platform fees (see the non-circumvention clause in the Terms of Service).
  • Harassment and abuse — threats, harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct toward any user or FlightPosts staff, on-platform or on job sites.
  • Spam and misuse of messaging — unsolicited promotion, repetitive messaging, or using Platform messaging for anything other than legitimate Engagement communication.
  • Platform interference — scraping, harvesting or bulk-copying Platform data (including pilot profiles and request listings); probing, bypassing or testing security; automated account creation; reverse engineering; or anything that disrupts the Platform's operation.

Prohibited requests — Businesses

FlightPosts reviews Pilot Requests and will refuse, and may report, requests for:

  • Covert surveillance of individuals — following, monitoring or recording an identifiable person or their home without lawful basis, including partners, ex-partners, family members, employees or neighbours.
  • Unlawful capture — imagery that would breach surveillance devices or privacy laws, trespass requirements, or a court order.
  • Prohibited operations — flights in restricted or emergency airspace, over prohibited sites, or otherwise outside what CASA rules allow for the pilots requested.
  • Dangerous carriage — transport or discharge of dangerous goods, weapons or prohibited payloads.
  • Pressure to breach — any request conditioned on a pilot ignoring their authorisations, safety assessment or the law.

Prohibited conduct — Pilots

  • Flying outside authorisation — accepting or performing Engagements beyond your CASA licence, ratings, weight class, or the operating conditions that apply to you; flying without required insurance in force.
  • Unsafe operation — conduct that endangers people, property or other aircraft, whether or not an incident results.
  • Credential lapse concealment — continuing to accept matches after a licence or insurance has lapsed, been suspended or been surrendered, without telling us.
  • Substitution without approval — sending another person to perform an Engagement without FlightPosts' prior approval.
  • Misuse of client data or deliverables — using site information, client data or Engagement deliverables for any purpose outside the Engagement, or publishing deliverables without the rights to do so.

General

Use the Platform lawfully and in good faith. Don't interfere with its security, integrity or operation, and don't assist or encourage anyone else to breach this policy. We may update this policy as the Platform and the law evolve; the current version always applies.

Reporting: suspected breaches can be reported in-app. Reports affecting safety are prioritised.
